The Filoli Flower Show celebrates both Mother’s Day and the House’s 100th birthday with flower-accented vintage cars, floral arrangements, children’s bouquets, horticultural collections, educational exhibits and garden art. The theme, “California Then and Now (1916-2016),” is expressed through fantastic floral interpretations created by both professional and amateur designers.
On Thursday, May 5th, an Opening Night Preview Party will take place from 5:30-8:00 pm. The Opening Night Party offers a first look at the exhibits, a stroll in the garden as the sun sets and a mixer with the floral designers while enjoying live music, hors d’oeuvres, wine and champagne. On Friday and Saturday, the flower show offers general admission from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm, with optional special teas taking place at 11:00 and 1:30 pm.
During the weekend there is live music and options to pre-order boxed lunches to eat on the tennis court. Sunday (Mother’s Day) has extended show hours from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and also features a special Champagne Brunch, a tradition for many families that visit the flower show year after year!
